Do you remember when I put my old laptop up for sale? Well, I have decided to take it off. Why? I'm not too sure about how safe it is. Sure, I have erased all of my data but how can I be certain that everything has gone. What brought this on is a guy, claiming he is from America, who is willing to pay £290 for it - really? an old outdated laptop for £290.00 but no wifi? Yeah its true. So he is also said he would pay me £60 postage and package to send it to Nigeria. This got me thinking, why Nigeria if he is American. The guy also said that he is currently in Dublin so thats why he cant pick it up from the UK. Now, I spoke to a few friends about this and they have said that Nigeria is the hacking capital of the world and they buy old laptops and collect your personal details such as bank account details etc. Even if you think you have deleted everything off your hard drive and installed a new OS hackers can still get hold of it because it is still on your computer.

I don't want to risk it and this guy sounds a little dodgy so it looks as if my laptop will be staying with me for a while, just gathering dust.
